METSÄ

Metsä is a new chain of restaurants serving fresh Scandinavian food. Metsä means 'forest' in Finnish. The client sought an extensive range of illustrated collateral, and the designs drew inspiration from traditional Finnish folk drawings, line-art, and nordic typography.

MASCOT

The bear is a common emblem for Finland, and a well-known inhabitant of the Finnish forest. It seemed an apt mascot for the 'Forest' restaurant. Using flat illustration decorated with folk-art style embellishment, the bear evokes a sense of the nordic food movement.
